JOHN S. TYMOFF, NCARB

John co-founded Tymoff+Moss Architects in 1995. He and Barry Moss lead the design effort for every project that the firm undertakes.

John received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1971. He was a member of Virginia Tech's first architectural study abroad program. He has been a guest lecturer to the same program in Zurich, Switzerland. He has traveled extensively in Europe and has also lectured at the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Hampton University.

After graduating, he was lead designer for a mid-sized architectural firm in Norfolk for six years. Prior to six years as president of the firm, John held the position of vice-president of design for seven years.
