Barry Moss received his Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1983 and his Master of Architecture and Urban Design degree from Columbia University in 1984. After Columbia, Barry spent his early career working in New York City before returning to Virginia.
Barry is a talented and focused architect and manager, known for his ease with consensus building. His clear communication and management skills help create the atmosphere of participation and team-building that are hallmarks of Tymoff+Moss Architects’ projects.
His projects include educational facilities, libraries, research laboratories, office buildings, museums, and non-profit headquarters. Barry’s award-winning projects have been published in the Wall Street Journal and have been featured on National Public Radio. He has lectured at the National Library of Medicine and works with Old Dominion University as the University Architect.
